Jim's Jazz Quartet plays for "After Hours" at the Kimbell Art Museum, August 8th Saturday 5:30-7:30pm in Fort Worth.
The Jazz that Jim performs started around the early nineteen hundreds when they called
the music Jass. Even before that, they called the old jazz The Blues or The Blue New Orleans Sound. Now days jass
is called a number of different names like dixieland jazz, traditional jazz, trad jazz, and classic jazz. Jim's Jazz
Band holds the tradition of this jazz together through the sounds of their performances.
Jim's Jazz Band, a traditional jazz band out of Fort Worth, Texas, plays for clubs,
restaurants, festivals, special events, private parties, and any kind of function that you may invent in and around the
Fort Worth Dallas area. We play all the dixieland tunes from the old jazz era. Click on the song button to check out our list.
Plan your party and see how long you want us to play. We'll play from 2 to 4 hours for you with short breaks to rest the ole'
chops. In your backyard, living room, on stage, or in a corner, we'll provide some classic jazz music of the 1930's. Jim's
Jazz Band plays in forms of singles, duos, trios, quartets, quintets, and sextets.
Jim's Jazz Trio featuring Jim Brimer on jazz clarinet was recorded live at Pierre's playing some
really cool traditional jazz. With Scott Whitfield on banjo and Marla Sporrer on acoustical bass, we played some great 1930's
dixieland jazz tunes. We really enjoyed performing our classic jazz to the customers of Pierre's Mardi Gras Cafe
in Arlington, Texas.
