Jim's Jazz Band, a traditional jazz band, out of Fort Worth,Texas plays for clubs,
restaurants, festivals, special events, private parties, and any kind of function that you may invent in and around the
Fort Worth Dallas area. We play all the dixieland tunes from the old jazz era. Click

to 4 hours for you with short breaks to rest the ole' chops. In your backyard, living room, on stage, or in a corner,
we'll provide some classic jazz music of the 1930's. For quotes and availability for

The Jazz that Jim performs started around the early nineteen hundreds when they called
the music ‘Jass’. Even before that, they called the old jazz ‘The Blues’ or ‘The Blue New Orleans Sound’. Now days 'jass'
is called a number of different names like dixieland jazz, traditional jazz, trad jazz, and classic jazz. Jim’s Jazz Band
holds the
tradition of this jazz together through the sounds of their performances.
Jim's Jazz Trio featuring Jim Brimer on jazz clarinet was recorded live in 2008 playing some really cool traditional jazz. With Scott Whitfield on banjo and Marla Sporrer on acoustical bass, we played 14 great 1930's dixieland
jazz tunes and one original song, in following with the classic jazz format, called 'Blue Quarters'. Click on the ‘More Info’ button below to hear samples of our Cd’s trad jazz tunes recorded live. To the left are three samples of our old jazz
