Jim Brimer Performs with Other Jazz Bands
Razzmajazz
Razzmajazz plays private parties and festivals throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area. I play as a sideman clarinet with the group. This is a jazz sextet swingin' the songs of the old jazz.
The Jazz Cats perform all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Usually when they play it will be a private function or festival. I will play a side clarinet or lead clarinet depending on whether they have a trio or a quartet. This group really swings featuring a real cool banjo.
Jack Allday is the drummer that swings the rhythms of the old jazz and performs in clubs in the Dallas area. I play clarinet along with a full front line with his group. We play all the traditional jazz tunes of the thirties and forties. Look on my calendar for places we are playing.
The Pace Makers play for various assistant living organizations through out the Dallas area. I will sub for the lead horn player every once in a while. They play every thursday traveling to two different locations. One can't imagine the joy the audience get from listening to a live jazz band playing the music that they can relate to. This ensemble always has a good time and plays some good jazz.
The Texas Dixieland Jazz Band plays for the opening game of the Rangers baseball team in Arlington, at The Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie for the July 4th race, and for festivals and private functions. Usually the band plays as a quintet or a sextet. I play the side clarinet part. This band always livens up the party with their jazz.
Doc's Dixieland Jazz Band is a cooking jazz band that plays throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Like my  band, Doc plays as a trio to a six piece group. Doc uses me on sideman clarinet.
