and where you want us to play. We'll play from 2 to 4 hours for you with short breaks to rest the ole' chops. In your backyard, living room,

Jim's Jazz Trio featuring Jim Brimer was recorded live in 2008 playing some really cool
traditional jazz. With Scott Whitfield on banjo and Marla Sporrer on acoustical bass, we played 14 great 1930's dixieland
jazz tunes and one original song, in following with the classic jazz format, called 'Blue Quarters'.
Click on the ‘More
Info’
button below to hear samples of our Cd’s traditional jazz tunes recorded live. To the
left are four samples of our old jazz tunes. We really enjoyed
performing our classic jazz to the customers of Pierre's Mardi Gras Cafe in Arlington, Texas.
The Jazz that Jim Brimer performs started around the early nineteen hundreds when they called the music ‘Jass’. Even before that, they called the old jazz ‘The Blues’ or ‘The Blue New Orleans Sound’. Now days 'jass' is called a number of different names like dixieland jazz, traditional jazz, trad jazz, and classic jazz. Jim’s Jazz Band holds the tradition of this jazz together through the sounds of their performances. See my '
Demos' section for sample cuts of 'Jim's Jazz Band' or just click the demos on this page. The 1930's weren't all bad.
